Save a fuse, blow a sparky.
John Ryan's auto-electrical workshop on Progress Drive, alternators, starters, wiring, ECU diagnostics, air-con re-gas, and the wiring work nobody else in the King Country wants to touch.
Most auto sparkies in the Waikato will turn down anything off-road. John doesn't. If it has wires in it and it's stopped working, bring it in.
Alternators, starters, batteries, wiring harness, lighting and full ECU diagnostics. Anything from a ute that won't start to a wiring loom that's been chewed by rats.
See the full list →Re-gas, repair, leak diagnosis. The "and Air Conditioning" half of the brand, and the call you should be making in November, not January.
See the full list →Light aircraft wiring, instrumentation faults, charging-system work. John'll drive the ute out to the strip if that's where the plane lives.
Aviation & marine →Trailer wiring, boat batteries, nav lights, bilge pumps and trolling motors. Bring the trailer in or arrange a yard visit.
Aviation & marine →Custom ECU installs (Link Monsoon and the rest), full re-wires on Chevs, Mustangs and rotaries, kick-panel fabrication for tucked wiring. The fun jobs.
See the builds →Most of John's customers came from word of mouth in the King Country. Reviews are thin on the internet because reviews don't tend to happen when the job's been right the first time, but here's one that did make it online.
"John and the crew have done a heap of work for me over the years, top notch quality and friendly service."
"Specialising in all your automotive electrical and air conditioning needs."
"Wired Link Monsoon into this sweet little rotary, fabbed up a new kick panel to house the ECU. Should be brap braping in no time."
John Ryan took the keys to the Otorohanga workshop in 2005 and rebranded it Auto Electricks & Air Conditioning in 2007. The retro muscle-car badge isn't a costume, it's a fair representation of what gets rolled in the door on any given week.
Same owner, same number, same Progress Drive address. The kind of trade business where the bloke who quotes the job is the bloke who'll do the job.
